Mckinnon Tops Qualifier For Matchplay

Victorian Terri McKinnon yesterday took top qualifying position for the matchplay section of the Australian women's amateur golf championship at Lake Karrinyup, Perth.
McKinnon won on a countback after tying with overnight leader Tanya Holl of Western Australia and New Zealander Gina Scott on 152.
Another stroke away were Victoria Club youngster Kate MacIntosh, Michelle Scerri of Northern, Jane Leary of WA and Silvia Donohoe of New South Wales.
In the first match today, McKinnon meets 32nd placegetter Michelle Ellis (NSW).
Draw for matches today: Top half: McKinnon v Ellis, Furneaux v Giles, Sowden v McGough, Hale v Hajjar, Leary v Lorimer, Terrell v O'Connor, Donohoe v Travers, McClure v Daw.
